When we don’t understand what causes our overeating, we can never truly stop overeating. Until we discover and unwind this, we don’t have a chance of losing weight permanently because we are constantly causing ourselves to be overweight. Sure we may temporarily manage to lose some weight, but when we can no longer muscle our way through a diet and those urges and cravings rear their ugly head, the weight comes back – usually worse than when we started.
When we work with a weight loss coach, we do the opposite of dieting. We don’t get neat and tidy rules that all we have to do is follow (eat this, don’t eat that, exercise for this amount of time for that amount of days, stop eating 3 hours before bedtime, etc.). Besides – we know all that! In most cases, it’s not about getting more information or some magic formula. The real question is why we don’t apply what we already know.
